Within a couple weeks of joining Room Swap we were contacted by another Cottage owner with a view to swapping a holiday week in our 4* Granary Cottage. After checking out their excellent holiday properties on their website, we both agreed to a week long swap. We subsequently enjoyed a wonderful relaxing break in Yorkshire with Romanic Cottage Holidays.  I would highly recommend the Room Swap service to any other Cottage/Holiday property owner. If you have a vacancy why not swap it with another Room Swap member and enjoy a well deserved, ‘free’ holiday yourself?!

I was a little apprehensive as to how the whole Room Swap concept worked but I was lucky to find Rose through the site www.room-swap.com and we arranged to swap a week at our Sneaton Hall property near Whitby in return for a week on her beautiful 660 Acre Organic farm in Gloucester. We were delighted with the accommodation, perfect for our family and it was our first holiday away with our new baby. Rose and Farmer John, couldn't have been more accommodating and not only have we had a great room swap experience but we've made some lovely friends as well. It's the best value for money website we've subscribed to! Thanks to Iain for bringing us together!

Having just joined Room Swap and meeting Alison @kirklauchline on Twitter it just so happened we had a cancellation for the Attic Apartment for 2 nights which I tweeted on Twitter. This corresponded with Alison visiting the area with her husband for work/pleasure. After a quick chat via email Alison suggested a swap for her holiday home in Scotland. As we close the B&B for a couple of months in the winter we thought a trip up North would be fantastic. Now I have the bug for this easy transaction anyone else for a swap?!

We have recently returned from a fantastic two night stay at Peel Castle in Hellifield, near Skipton.
Peel Castle is an amazing Luxury Castle in beautiful surroundings. We stayed in the Attic Room, which is a contemporary modern self Catering or B and B apartment with a Sun Terrace and long distance views.
Karen and Francis made us feel very welcome and made our stay more than perfect. As well as a beautiful Castle to stay in we were also treated to Cupcakes, Wine, Mineral Water, Chocolates and lovely Biscuits too. We watched “Grand Designs” (on the 42” Flat Screen TV) of their conversion of Peel Castle from crumbling ruin to the wonderful building that it is now, it is a true credit to them.
Being a new member of Room Swap is exciting and we like the fact that we can work together as part of the Room Swap team to promote our Cottage and the benefits of being a Room Swap Member. We are really impressed by the enthusiasm and professional service provided by Room Swap and recommend them to any Hotel, B&B or Cottage owner.
We look forward to welcoming Karen, Francis and their Family to Kirklauchline Cottage in November and to swaps with other members too in the future.

Had a lovely two day stay at Dalmunzie Castle near Glenshee back in October. A beautiful amazing place and the food was worth the four hour drive alone. Next week we are off to Wales and Ireland to see family and stopping for a night at Augill Castle on the way which looks fabulous – we can’t wait. Being part of Room Swap has been great this year – aside from finally managing some time away we have seen some lovely places and look forward to welcoming other colleagues to the hotel next year. We will be looking forward to showing off our own wild little part of the world
